Podcast Ad Sales Account Executive
Geographical Location: Candidate must be based in the geographical areas of: Chicago, IL, New York/New Jersey, or California
Realm is adding an Account Executive to our direct ad sales podcast team. Responsible for pro-active development and maintenance of strategic advertising partnerships with both ad agencies and brands, this role will be responsible for driving ad sales revenue and identifying opportunities for innovation in podcast advertising. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has been a vital member of a podcast team to apply their knowledge and expertise in an exciting environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the pre-sales process with brand and agency clients from the first meeting through post sales campaign completion, ensuring that recommendations are smart and grounded in creative insight and campaigns are managed through maximum optimization
- Meet annual and quarterly sales targets through thoughtful and strategic selling of Realm’s podcast ad inventory
- Build pitch decks and media plans that effectively communicate the Realm and individual show value propositions
- Work closely with Realm leadership team on sales performance and opportunities for innovation in podcast advertising
- Collaborate with the podcast ad ops team, ensure smooth delivery of campaigns.
Job Requirements/Key Qualifications:
- You have minimum of 5 years of experience in audio/podcast advertising media sales
- You have strong existing relationships with industry professionals, including holding company agencies, podcast performance agencies, and client direct.
- You consistently provide a high level of customer service to all of your accounts and proactively develop solutions to challenges.
- You have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and the ability to quickly build strong, long-term relationships
- You have a deep understanding of the advertising sales cycle — from prospecting to billing — and can comfortably and reliably manage a pipeline
- You’re comfortable challenging convention and have strong analytical skills that you use to develop an informed perspective that you share effectively with others
- You build trusted relationships with people in other functions and groups — you’re a team player, collaborative, patient, and have great organizational skills
- You are conscientious, detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and hard working
- You bring your authentic self to work — you’ve got a sense of humor, you share your passions with colleagues, and geek out over great content and storytelling
Compensation:
- Total compensation package = $100,000 - $125,000 per year, inclusive of base salary plus quarterly/annual bonus opportunities. Salary to be determined by several factors including relevant job experience, skills, job-related qualifications, education, location, market data, etc.
